Missionary from the Philippines

to speak at

Main Street Baptist Church

1001 Main Street

Georgetown, TX

Sunday, November 23, 2008

The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering begins with a special event at Main Street Baptist Church on Sunday, November 23rd.  Special guest speaker Lyn Hyde, missionary to the Philippines, will speak at all three services.  Lyn has served as missionary in the Philippines for 30 years.  When Lyn and her husband, Bill, began their work in the Philippines, their goal was to start 3000 churches.  After 25 years, 1500 churches had been organized.  Lyn left the Philippines after her husband was killed by a terrorist bomb at the airport, but she returned to complete her work.

The Christian community of Georgetown will surely find inspiration in Lyn’s message.  Main Street Baptist invites you to attend one of the services, 8:15am, 9:30am, or 11:00am, on November 23rd to hear Lyn’s message of hope.
